Bedrooms of London tells the story of childhood poverty through a universal space – the bedrooms children sleep, dream, wake up and grow up in.
As a planner, I guided the team with research, finding the insight, and running workshops to come up with ideas.
Brief

The Childhood Trust was looking for a way to reach an affluent, connected audience with something small, focused and life changing, that would be a catalyst for meaningful conversations about poverty and injustice in some of London’s wealthiest areas.
Insight:
Most often, extreme poverty and wealth exist side-by-side on the same street and residents have no idea of it.
We partnered with acclaimed photographer Katie Wilson to create a book that documents over 30 bedrooms in boroughs across London. The images sit alongside first-hand narratives of the families.
